The seventh installation of Nord Magazine, Patriarch explores men’s fashion today, the deconstruction of gender binaries and an evolution of fashion through men’s footwear. 116 pages of articles and editorial.
Two years later, we look at our own Landscapes, the great Canadian shield to the coast of Romania, this issue spans the fashion landscape with one simple rule: you must work outside. The 6th issue of Nord is also our biggest yet, with 116 pages of visual euphoria.
The fifth summer edition of Nord magazine brings you OPULENCE, decadence on an excessive level and luxury pushed to the extremes. Featuring Carmen Carrera, Jerome C Rousseau, and work from Josh Brandao, Aleksandr Pershin and Matt Brown, Opulence is the strongest issue of Nord yet and a visual feast for the eyes not seen since Stimulation.
The fourth, spring edition of Nord magazine; looking at the archetypes that surround us, the real from the unreal, the illusion of a photo from it’s face to face entity. Featuring social heavyweights, Audrey Kitching, Stevo Trann, Stef Sanjati and Monaisse, Archetype examines the projection and the person, and some popular social archetypes with features from the West, our inherent exoticism of the other, and the fashionable transformation of ideas throughout the decades.
The third, fall 2015 issue of Nord Magazine examines the intersection of tribe and society; how we mark ourselves to, how we find our own troupe and path in the world, to how we’ve reappropriated cultural iconography in current times. The Nord tribe is pleased to present you with our closing issue of 2015, Neotribalism.
The second, summer 2015 issue of Nord Magazine brings you into a world of new beginnings; from reappropriations and transformations, to eras-gone-by being rebirthed again. Resurgence is a transformation of state that we experience continually, and we’ve brought you a collection of stories around this theme, from recycling pop culture to overcoming all odds.
Following our pilot, Issue One, this is the first of a triannual chronicle. Think of Zero as the soft launch and One as our first route of expansion. We’ve had a great success connecting with an array of talent and artistic pods, and we ready to accept submissions and excited to ignite your retinas with STIMULATION.
The premier issue of Nord Magazine, Issue Zero: Skins, is also our pilot, and we at Nord would like as many of you to see it as possible. To start our first dialogue, all the content found in the limited-run print magazine is available for this pilot issue only, through this website. This pilot is a foundation, a chassis, and a backbone of what Nord is. This is the starting point, and the beginning of a new conversation, and the compass points up.
